Modernizing the IT Infrastructure of a Life Science Company with MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform
Overview.
Our client, a leading global life science company was looking for ways to modernize its IT infrastructure and adopt a digital first approach. The company, involved in scientific breakthroughs, collaborates with scientists (from biopharma industry), and clinical communities to create next-generation biological tools and solutions. The company strives to empowering discoveries that can positively impact society. The client’s old IT system was posing a challenge to support its next phase of growth. Coforge resolved the issue by modernizing the IT infrastructure.
In 2019, the client launched an ambitious five-year strategy to support its next phase of growth. The goal of the company was to extend its positive impact on life sciences research, discovery, and clinical applications which have the potential to improve patient lives. However, companies existing infrastructure heavily relied on hand-coded integrations and was not suitable to support this mission.

The Solution
API-Led Transformation
Coforge implemented Anypoint Platform and so far, integrated more than 15 systems. We applied our own standardized Software Development Lifecycle methodology and quality gates to validate deliverables at each stage.
iPaaS Solution
Coforge set up Anypoint Monitoring with tailored dashboards. This provided real-time visibility into integrations across its application network. We also integrated system alerts with ServiceNow to automatically generate incident requests.
