Overview.

The client is one of the world's largest biotech companies and a pioneering force in healthcare. It continues to innovate with medicines and diagnostic tests that benefit millions of patients worldwide. They wanted to build application networks that facilitate the flow of data and services across their ecosystem, both internally and externally.

Challenges.

The wanted their Remote Service Platform to connect and transfer data between various IT Managed Business Applications and devices located at customer locations. These connections were created using point to point interfaces, causing the systems to be tightly coupled and increased their interdependency as well as the complexity of maintaining them.

Solution.

  1. We designed & developed MuleSoft Architecture for their business transformation. 
  2. Engaged in other programs of the customer portfolio around Diabetes Care, Diagnostics, clinical trial data and geo specific implementation for Diagnostics & Pharma segments. 
  3. Supported in the Technical Design Authority for Customer. 
  4. Standardized the Mule platform and set up best practices. 
  5. The new RSP utilized the ESB model as the integration concept with Customer’s systems, ensuring flexibility and scalability. 

The Impact.

  1. Implementation reached 100,000 end users across more than 200 legal entities. 
  2. Loosely coupled systems suppoted the client’s strategic move to cloud-based systems (e.g. RSP itself, Salesforce based applications). 
  3. The Reference Architecture design guaranteed optimal availability, reliability, performance, scalability, interoperability, security, and sustainable service quality.
